Investing in Future Talent at Sierra CP Engineering Limited

This year, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting seven enthusiastic and talented students for work experience placements. Each brought a strong interest in engineering, and we were excited to provide hands-on experience across a range of departments.

Here’s a quick recap of the schools we had pupils from in 2024:

– Blessed Edward Oldcorne R C High School, Worcester – A student explored Electrical & Mechanical experience over 3 days in February.
– Sir Thomas Rich’s School, Gloucester – Gained valuable insight into Electrical, Mechanical Design, Electrical & Mechanical Fitting/Fabrication during a 5-day stint in April.
– Droitwich Spa High School and Sixth Form Centre Spent a day in May with our Test & DACS team.
– Hereford Sixth Form College – Participated in a 5-day placement in June, rotating through Stores, Electrical, Mechanical, and Test departments.
– Hanley Castle High School, Malvern – We hosted two students for 5 days in July, covering areas such as Mechanical & Electrical Design, Electrical Panel Wiring, and Mechanical Fitting/Fabrication.
– The Chase, Malvern – In August, a student spent 4 days with us, gaining exposure in Mechanical Fitting/Fabrication, visiting one of our “Test Cells,” and exploring Mechanical & Electrical Design & Test.

At Sierra CP Engineering Limited, we love to provide real-world experience, technical skills, and professional development, including mock interviews and feedback sessions. Our work experience program helps prepare these students for the next steps in their educational and professional journeys.

While we paused new work experience placements due to our upcoming move to Worcester, we are more than happy to accommodate students in 2025. In fact, we already have a proactive student booked in for April next year!

We look forward to expanding our reach to even more schools, including those in Pershore, Evesham, Redditch, and Bromsgrove.
