Electrical Design Engineer

You will be a part of the Electrical Design Department, responsible for managing and scheduling the electrical design workload. You will be working closely with Project Managers, Clients, Mechanical, and Software Design teams to ensure projects are executed in a timely manner, as agreed with all parties. Your responsibilities will also include supervising and co-ordinating the work of others, including engineers from different disciplines, and managing the production of drawings and electrical reports and specifications.

You should have a HNC/HND/Degree level in electrical design engineering, good experience of 2D electrical design packages, and a strong background in electrical design of industrial capital equipment, machinery, and instrumentation. You should also be familiar with MS Office packages, the latest electrical regulations, and various PLC systems. Additionally, you should have experience in electrical power distribution, 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems, and facility electrical wiring.

Automation & Control Development Engineer

As an Automation & Control Development Engineer you will develop and implement bespoke systems for various applications in the automotive and industrial sectors. You will need to to determine the best approach for each project and provide information to the sales team for quotation purposes.

You will be developing software using C# and CADET AuSy API and interfacing with third-party equipment. In this role you will also be responsible for creating automation sequences and customizing systems to meet customer requirements. Site visits will be required for installation, testing, and documentation of the solution both in the UK and internationally. A strong understanding of electrical systems is vital in this role.

You will work with the commissioning team and project managers to achieve customer sign-off.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical and mechanical/robotic/mechatronic engineering and experience with source code management using SourceTree, BitBucket, and Jira.

Test Commissioning Engineer

This role is for engineers who enjoy working on automation and control systems  in the automotive testing industry. 

You would be involved in checking electrical installations on-site, calibrating systems, and configuring test sequences. Engineers will also work with the automation development team to test control software and gather results.

The commissioning engineer will work with customers to achieve system functionality sign-off and provide initial training on the operation of the supplied system. They will also be responsible for customer service visits for calibration, fault finding, and rectification. Engineers will work closely with the in-house test department and be largely based on-site both in the UK and globally.

Commissioning engineers will also be involved in customer test cycle development using the Sierra CP CADET software and providing customer service for investigating system faults. They will support both customers and overseas Sierra CP engineers with diagnostics and fault finding through phone, email, and remote access.
